Im Home....

...from Illinois. My husband and I flew there over this past weekend because my cousin was getting married. The wedding was beautiful and the reception was soooo much fun!! My other cousin Brooke (not the one getting married) and I danced the night away! We had a great time! I even got Wes on the dance floor (with a LOT of encouraging) He claims he doesn't like to dance but he sure looked like he was having fun! Here are just a few pictures from the wedding. I have to get the reception pictures and post those too. They turned out great! Wes has them on his thumb drive though and I cant find it.... Anyway, Here are a few from the reception...

Before the Wedding: My Cousin Nick and my Aunt Debbie (his Mom), The Groomsmen

At the Church: Steph & my cousin Brooke (Nicks sister), The beautiful Bride (LOVE her dress!)

The ceremonial Burnout... hehe (My family in IL are Drag Racers)

The only problem with this trip was that it went way to fast. We were only there for 3 days and left really early the 4th day. It was a flash, but a really fun one!

Congrats Nick & Steph!!

Cupcake and HB stamp are both from Michaels, Cardstock is PTI, Twine is from Wal-Mart. The red button is PTI and then I used red stickles and liquid pearls for a little added sparkle!

Oatmeal Cranberry White Chocolate Chunk Cookies :)

I just have to show off the Delicious cookies that my hubby made the other night... Mmmmmm...
We found the recipe on the back of the Craisins bag and had to try it out. They are Oatmeal cranberry White Chocolate Chunk cookies. Yum! Sorry if Im making you hungry... hehe!

If you like Craisins, I highly recommenced this recipe.
Here it is:

2/3 cup butter
2/3 cup brown sugar
2 large eggs
1-1/2 cups old-fashioned oats
1-1/2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 6-ounce package Craisins
2/3 cup white chocolate chunks or chips

Preheat oven to 375F. Using an electric mixer, beat butter and sugar together in a medium bowl until light and fluffy. Add eggs, mixing well. Combine oats, flour, baking soda and salt in seperate mixing bowl. Add to butter mixture in several additions, mixing well after each addition. Stir in Craisins sweetened dried cranberries and white chocolate chunks. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto greased cookie sheets. Bake for 10-12 mins or until golden brown. Cool on wire rack. Makes approx 2-1/2 dozen cookies.

Enjoy!

If you make them, leave me a comment and let me know how you like them...
They are now a favorite in my house!

Night Light for Baby

Here is the baby gift I made for the baby shower I went to on Sunday. I always try to come up with something a little different for gift ideas. I guess I like to stand out a bit. ;) My Mom made these beautiful blocks for gifts this year. Yes, she is already getting ready for Christmas. I decided that this would made an adorable night light in a kids bedroom.

I found the blue and white ribbon at Michaels and made the bow. It even has a velcro closure so if she ever needs to take the bow off it comes off easily! Then I went to Wal-Mart and purchased all the toys for the decorations on top. Rubber ducky there was my favorite! I have made a few diaper cakes for showers in the past and I always find a rubber ducky to go on top. They are just too cute! I used Pop Dots to hold ducky and the other toys in place and then just to be sure they wouldnt move, I tied blue curling ribbon around them. The Mom to be loved it which made me happy!

Here is a view of the back, That teether was a little tricky to keep in place but I got it!

Thanks for looking!

So Happy for You!

I went to a baby shower yesterday for a friend of mine. Here is the card I made for her. Her husband was in the Army so when I saw the camo bottle, I knew it was perfect! The bottle is a sticker from Creative Imaginations, The brown cardstock is from Papertrey Ink and the blue is from my scrap stash. The cream ribbon is from PTI. The "So Happy for You" stamp is from PTI's Scattered Showers stamp set and the text is from PTI's background basics: Text style stamp set. I used my EK Success tag punch for the tag and popped the bottle up with SU dimensionals. I was soo excited when the card was finished! I just love the way it turned out!

Here is the inside...
This stamp is also from the Scattered Showers stamp set.

The Mom to be just loved the card. As soon as she opened it she was like "I think this is handmade" then she read the inside and she says "It is handmade!!" haha... She knows me too well! She love it though and passed it around for everyone to see. It made me feel good!!

Well thats all for tonight! Tomorrow Ill be back with pictures of the gift I made for the Mommy to be...
